1st UGM International Conference on Tropical Agriculture (ICTA) 2016
Tropical agriculture has been developing rapidly in order to provide food, nutrition and satisfaction for human being in the world. It also serves as main income generating sector for many smallholder farmers who predominantly live in the rural areas in tropical countries. Therefore, we do expect that the development of tropical agriculture will provide a better life for not only farmers but also people in world.
The importance role of tropical agriculture on feeding the world have attracted many scientists in Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia to arrange an international conference as the 1st International Conference of Tropical Agriculture that will be held on 25 – 26 October 2016. The theme of this first conference is Integrated and Sustainable Tropical Agriculture that deals with broader topic from agriculture, animal production, animal health, forestry, fisheries, and agricultural technology in the tropic.
The discussion in this seminar will be directed and emphasized on how the resources in the tropical areas can be integrated to produce food in supporting world’s food security. This international conference will be attended by many distinguished experts from all over the world who will share the current knowledge and technology related to topic. We do hope that the discussion and sharing during the seminar will stimulate and enhance the development of tropical agriculture more rapidly.
This conference aims is to stay upto-date on emerging trends and provide a forum for duscussion on topics related to integrated and sustainable agriculture for continous food production in tropical countries among scientist and others professional in food security, fishery, animal science, food processing industry, agriculturist, food safety and animal health care, integrated agro-forestry and related field.
